A musician website: bring your work, schedule and booking contact together
A potential booker finds a recording but cannot see how to ask about availability. Dates are buried in a post, promotional material sits elsewhere and personal messages compete with offers.
A potential booker finds a recording but cannot see how to ask about availability. Dates are buried in a post, promotional material sits elsewhere and personal messages compete with offers. An artist website can bring these entry points together while preserving identity. It should not promise bookings or turn a creative practice into a generic catalogue.
Consider the booker's task
A producer needs to understand the artistic offer, review suitable material and discuss format and availability. A listener may simply want to explore music. The journeys overlap, but they do not need to compete for the same primary action.
An electronic press kit can contain a reviewed biography, authorised photographs, examples of work and a commercial contact. List performance formats only when defined. Do not manufacture audience figures, press coverage or a client list to appear more established.
| Material | Maintenance question |
|---|---|
| Biography | Who reviews the promotional version? |
| Images and recordings | Are permission and credit available? |
| Schedule | Which events can be publicly disclosed? |
| Booking | Who replies and what context is needed? |
Make one useful improvement first
Collect valid links and remove duplicates. Separate listening material from press downloads. In a hypothetical project offering an acoustic performance and a different event lineup, explaining the distinction can prevent mismatched expectations. It does not require a universal public price.
Test the page without playing anything. Visitors should understand the work and locate booking information before media loads. External players may be useful, but automatic video and many embeds can obstruct reading and loading. Agree which material gets priority and permission.
Keep the schedule honest and editable
Events can be maintained through a CMS, with a clear approach to past dates. A past performance should not appear upcoming. A booking enquiry is not a confirmed reservation. Assess an external scheduling provider and its access model before presenting automatic booking.
My professional website service can combine structure, visual identity, responsive behaviour, editable content and contextual enquiries. An EPK and distinct format pages can enter the scope according to available material.
Start from work you can disclose
Choose a representative performance, authorised material and the current proposal process. Planning can begin without new photography: the structure should accommodate future images without requiring a rebuild.
